Deployment

The deployment module allows you to create and view all current "Deployment Tasks"

Although all previous ESET deployment scripts created by LabTech are supported and function, the plug-in uses it's own module on the Remote Agent to deploy ESET products to LabTech agents.

Deploying to a LabTech Group

From the deployment module, click New Task to start a new deployment task.

• Enter a name for your task
• Select the ERA server the endpoints should connect to.
• Select the ESET Product to deploy
• Select the LabTech Group you want to deploy to.
• Select the OS(s) you want to target
• (Optional) Deploy to new agents that join the group - This option will tell the ESET plug-in to attempt to deploy to any new agents that join the group
• Click Save

Immediately the plug-in checks LabTech data to see if any conflicting scanners are detected on the endpoints. If no conflicting scanners exist a command is sent to the LabTech agent and deployment will either succeed or report back information as to why the deployment failed (ie: Low disk space)

Monitoring a Deployment Task

From the deployment module in the Dashboard select any deployment task and click "Details"

You can see the status and details of each deployment, resend the task if failed, or open the LabTech Computer Window to diagnose a failed deployment.

Deploying to a single agent / location / client or group

From outside of the ESET Dashboard you can deploy to a single agent, group, client, or location

Right-click the object from the LabTech navigation and select "Commands->LabTech->ESET Deployment"

This will bring up the new deployment window

Select the ESET server your endpoints should connect to, select the ESET product to deploy and click submit.

*Deployments created outside of the ESET Dashboard can be monitored from the Commands tab on the LabTech agents Computer Window.
